
YouTube Music is a music streaming service developed by YouTube, owned by Google. It was announced on November 12, 2015 and began public beta testing the same day. As of February 2019, the service has 1 million subscribers.
YouTube Music offers ad-free listening for users who have an active subscription to YouTube Red, with access to playlists from channel owners that are also available on both platforms (these include artists not signed to Universal Records as well as some labels operated directly by parent company Alphabet Inc.).
