Nigerian music industry is flourishing over the past four decades due to several factors including globalization of trade, government support to develop local industries, high birth rate, emergence of new stars etc., In addition increasing demand for entertainment products resulted into increased investment in Nigerian films, dancehall/urban genres and musical acts. As these trends have developed more artists (musicians) have emerged locally and globally making Nigerian market competitive worldwide.
This however has raised concerns regarding talent gap arising from lack of good mentorship for young aspiring musicians before success becomes inevitable. Although there may be numerous challenges ahead for the next generation of musicians and those who aspire to create artistry,the following guidelines will assist you and others in your journey to creating a sustainable career in the industry.
The key to success
My dream is to have a successful career in painting. I want to become an artist. I have been taking drawing classes. I hope to become a great artist. I want to go to art school for free. I love the art class. I was fascinated by the art class. However, I know that to be perfect, there is a lot of hard work that needs to be done. The good news is that there are many successful artist out there who are willing to help you with learning.
There is a wealth of information on the Internet. I am sure that you will find that you are able to find helpful information on everything from how to paint a watercolor, to how to choose the perfect paints for your subject matter. No matter where you live, you will undoubtedly be able to find a source of inspiration.
I am a budding artist and I am a student of art in a private school in Nigeria. I started painting at the age of 5 years. I painted some of my drawings which I won in competitions in my school. I won three national and international competitions in a year. I enjoy painting. I am a good painter.
However, I am a struggling artist. I am not a professional artist. I am not rich. I am not well connected with the art society. I am only a budding artist. This is my situation. At the age of 11, I don’t know how to start my career as an artist. What are my options? How can I go about my career? I want to know how to get into the art society. I want to learn the secrets of becoming a good artist. I do not know where to take my art.
Be patient
There are many things that can happen in life that may not go your way. You have to learn how to deal with these situations and not get discouraged. If you keep working hard, eventually good things will come into your life.
Don’t give up
If you want something bad enough, don’t ever give up. Keep trying until you succeed.
Know what you’re doing
You need to know what you’re doing before you start anything. If you don’t know what you’re doing, then you’ll never achieve anything.
Be persistent
You have to be persistent if you want to make your dreams come true. You need to keep going no matter what. If you stop trying, then you are giving up. There will always be people who try to discourage you from achieving your goals but don’t give up. Keep pushing forward until you get where you want to go.
Don’t listen to critics
Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. They may not know better than you, but they are just talking out of their ass. People who criticize you are usually jealous of your talent. So ignore them and keep doing what you love.
Stay focused
If you want to achieve success, you have to stay focused. When you are working hard at something, you should never lose sight of your goal. You should always remember why you started this journey in the first place.
